Jack Massey takes on Cheavon Clarke on Chris Billam-Smith vs Ryan Rozicki undercard live on Sky Sports

Jack Massey will fight Cheavon Clarke on the all-action Bournemouth bill on June 6, live on Your Site.

It is another exciting cruiserweight clash on the Zuffa Boxing 07 card at the Bournemouth International Centre, topped by Chris Billam-Smith's battle with Ryan Rozicki.

Massey is a former world title challenger and former European champion, looking to work his way back to the top of the cruiserweight division. Now he is going into another 50-50 battle with explosive Olympian Cheavon Clarke.

"Chev Clarke is a fight that really excites me," Massey said.

"Everyone loves a domestic clash, and this bout, live on Your Site, will propel me right back in the mix for another shot at the world title. Zuffa has a great plan for me, and it all starts here."

Turning professional in 2013, Massey went on a 16-fight run of victories. His record suffered a blemish with a loss on points to Richard Riakporhe in 2019.

He immediately returned to winning ways and even moved up to heavyweight for one fight when he took on one of the best in the division, former world champion Joseph Parker.

He lost the decision to Parker but nevertheless impressed as he took an elite heavyweight the 10-round distance.

Massey took out Belgian national champion Steve Eloundou Ntere with a blazing one-round knockout. That brought him to a showdown with south London's Isaac Chamberlain at Selhurst Park.

Massey secured a fine victory to become the European champion, a win that set him up for a world title shot.

He fought the unbeaten, outstanding Jai Opetaia in Riyadh and despite a gritty display of his toughness and bravery was halted in the sixth round of the fight. Massey rebounded from the Opetaia setback with a fourth-round stoppage win over Ivan Gabriel Garcia last November.

This next fight promises to be another ferociously competitive outing for Massey. Clarke was an excellent amateur boxer who secured the silver medal at the 2017 European Games and a bronze at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He won Olympic qualification and represented Team GB at the Tokyo Games.

With an aggressive, hard-punching style, eight of his 11 professional victories have come inside the distance.

He's scored an impressive stoppage win over former European champion Tommy McCarthy in Belfast and in just his ninth pro fight knocked out Ellis Zorro to win the British cruiserweight title.

He beat Efetobor Apochi in California but in a European championship clash was edged out on a split decision by Leonardo Mosquea in Monte Carlo.

After a points reverse to Viddal Riley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, he came back to knock out Anthony Hollaway in Stockton.

He is determined to make a statement against Massey in Bournemouth. "Thank you to my team and Zuffa for getting this over the line," Clarke said. "This is a new chapter, and I'm ready to show the best of myself on Your Site."

Fans are encouraged to register their interest early for the best chance to secure tickets via . Tickets will go on sale at 10am BST on Friday, May 8 via , while those who registered their interest early will get access at 10am BST on Thursday, May 7.

"It's a great fight for the fight fans," Massey told Your Site News. "I've been chasing a few fights, especially domestically and they've been running away and it's not been happening.

"We've been wanting the Billam-Smith fight for a long, long time. We've got to get through this fight first and Chris has a got a very, very tough fight himself."

He expects his bout with Clarke to deliver fireworks: "When it's go time we're both going to let leather fly and there's only going to be one man on top."

Cheavon Clarke told Your Site News: "This is a great opportunity. He's a good fighter himself. Get past him and we can build from there.

"He's got the fundamentals, he can box, he's got a good pro record. But it's for me to go out there and dismantle that.

"I have to go out there and show the qualities that I have.

"Whoever it may be, bring one, bring all, I'm just here to fight.
